Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SoundBloom (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SoundBloom is a music licensing platform for video creators. The Service provides access to a catalog of royalty-free music tracks for use in online video content, with optional paid subscriptions for additional features including Content ID channel whitelisting.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Music License

  • Free tier: You may browse, preview, and download tracks. Downloaded tracks are subject to YouTube Content ID claims, which generate revenue for rights holders.
  • Creator and Pro tiers: Paid subscribers may whitelist YouTube channels to release Content ID claims. The license grants non-exclusive rights to use tracks in online video content for the duration of your active subscription.

You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense tracks obtained through the Service. Tracks may not be used in standalone music products, sample packs, or music libraries.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You may cancel at any time from your dashboard; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
  • Price changes will be communicated in advance

When you cancel a paid subscription, content that you have already published using SoundBloom tracks during any active subscription remains licensed indefinitely. We will not initiate, re-apply, or pursue Content ID claims on videos that were published during an active subscription, and any claims previously released by whitelisting remain released. After your subscription ends, your channel is removed from the whitelist; you may continue to use tracks from our catalog in new content, but new uploads will generate Content ID claims that route ad revenue to SoundBloom, the same as under the Free tier. Reactivating your subscription re-applies the whitelist to your channel.

6. Content ID and Whitelisting

Content ID claims are managed through YouTube’s Content ID program. Whitelisting a YouTube channel releases existing claims and prevents future claims on that channel for tracks in our catalog. Whitelisting is only available to paid subscribers and is subject to channel limits based on your subscription tier.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent Content ID or other rights management systems
  • Share account credentials with others
  • Use automated systems to scrape or bulk-download content
  • Misrepresent ownership of licensed tracks

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your license to use downloaded tracks in new content ceases, though existing published content may remain.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that Content ID claims will be resolved within any specific timeframe.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoundBloom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue from Content ID claims.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the Service.
